About Quiet Room Immersive
Quiet Room Immersive is a creative sound studio exploring the edges of music, sound design, and immersive storytelling. Founded and led by award-winning composer and creative director Giles Lamb, we craft original audio worlds for film, television, animation, installations, and spatial experiences.
At its core, Quiet Room is about resonance—emotional, spatial, and sensory. We work across multichannel environments, bespoke site-specific setups, and immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos and Ambisonics to create experiences that connect deeply with audiences.
The founder and creative director, Giles Lamb, brings over 30 years of experience in composing, sound design, and immersive production. His work spans three decades of high-profile scores for film and TV, acclaimed sound design for museum and exhibition spaces, and collaborations with artists and directors across Europe and beyond. As both a composer and producer, his credits include everything from BAFTA-winning kids’ series to poetic soundworlds for contemporary dance and experimental theatre.
With a background in neuroscience and psychology, Giles is deeply attuned to the emotional and cognitive power of sound. He has taught at The Glasgow School of Art, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, National Film and Television School (NFTS), Edinburgh International Film Festival, Sound Lab and Music Labs, bringing his rich understanding of creative process and perception into education and worked with orchestras such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and The Glasgow Session Orchestras
Over the years, Giles has collaborated widely—from the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra, theatre and multimedia productions - released numerous albums spanning ambient, classical, and experimental genres. He also co-founded and ran a world-class audio post-production facility, producing work for clients across film, TV, and commercial sectors.
